AB Sequence Project: Adventure to Layne's locker
Last week, e9 video making made a film about printing a document. Our group was given a simple task with easy instructions so we could get used to working with equipment. We learned about the Rule of Thirds and 6-shot tactics. I also got experience working with an e9 group. It was a helpful "test run" activity. This week, we made another video. It was a "Point A to Point B" type film, sort of an action sequence almost.
I paired up with Layne again for this project. She is friendly and easy to get along with. We knew we wanted to do something straightforward and helpful. I said that she should be the "actress" this time, since I did it on our last project.
Our film would be about Layne forgetting something, having to use a pass, and retrieving it from her locker. We added obstacles such as backpacks, books, and water bottles, and even a wacky teacher (played by Yours Truly). The filming was pretty smooth, except for leveling the shot but we soon got the hang of that.
The editing went great for me. Since I've already used Premier Pro once before, I was able to navigate it with ease. I understood the functions to compose and edit my video. I decided on using my soundtrack from my last film, How to Print a Document, because that sequence never uploaded so my class didn't see it.
I really liked working with Layne because she was patient with me and my difficulty with devices. She had great ideas and was really helpful. Even though I like working with her, maybe next time I'll find another partner. Collaborating with more people will help me and give everyone more ideas.
Overall, it was a fun project and I think it looks really good!
